“I know that thousands of gay men in Russia watched Heated Rivalry—on pirate sites, of course, because they have no legal way to watch the series. The Russian authorities would undoubtedly ban the show as LGBTQ propaganda, but most Western platforms don’t function in Russia either. As a result, Russian queer people have to break every possible law simply to live in the same world as members of their own community.”

My morning so far has been spent disassembling the tumble dryer and vacuuming everything in sight. A suspicious burning smell led to us pulling the big red lever earlier!
It has been running for 10 minutes now, and so far, so good. We'll be watching the dryer with great interest the next few times we're using it..
Husband has been watching *Reign*. I've never watched it because, you know, I actually like history. And this show is full of crap.
Husband comes in to tell me stuff that is happening in the show - I tell him how it's wrong.
He mentions a name and I explain the character's real story.
We're both enjoying ourselves and having a lovely time.
Isn't marriage wonderful? 😂

I bought a TV and it wouldn't let me past the first setup screen unless I installed an app and gave it Internet access. I figured as much... What I didn't expect was that they would be so explicit about their spying: a big message popped up warning me that the TV channel I was watching would collect viewing data. Fuck you guys. F.u.c.k.y.o.u.
Tomorrow I'll set up the rules in pfSense so I can virtually give all these bastards the middle finger.
I feel like Don Quixote…
@axbom@axbom.meIt's been 40 years. I still remember it well. I was in school. It's a few days till my 10th bday. Our (very small, maybe 14 kids) 4th grade class stopped our studies and tuned in the launch. The surreal moment of watching the explosion grow while the announcer calmly continued reporting the stats before realizing there was a problem. The teacher having to explain what we just watched. The day we learned that going to space is still a very difficult task.
By-the-way, I tend to watch movie credits (often discovering some good music) and I noticed after watching the new film Nuremberg that the copyright notice at the end explicitly denies rights to use the film to or script to feed AIs.
