Are completely arbitrary minimum page / word count criteria still a thing in school and academia?
As a person that likes to get to the point quickly, I always fell short of these artificial requirements and yet it never affected my grades, because I said everything there is to say.
In times of LLMs, I do wonder how many students feel pressured to reach for ChatGPT just because their natural way of writing does not conform to excessive prose expectations.

A substitution lemma for multiple context-free languages
We present a new criterion for proving that a language is not multiple context-free, which we call a Substitution Lemma. We apply it to show a sample selection of languages are not multiple context-free, including the word problem of $F_2\times F_2$. Our result is in contrast to Kanazawa et al. [2014, Theory Comput. Considered a lot of flicks I haven't checked out to take in today, both older and newer, but settled on 1997's 'The Relic'. I always want weird monstery creature features over anything else, and this sounds like it is. And it has Tom Sizemore (RIP).
