Katharina Dalisda ist aus Frankfurt am Main. Der Fluss wird aber nicht genannt. Es gibt in der BRD zwei Frankfurte: Frankfurt am Main und Frankfurt an der Oder. Das Problem ist, dass das Ost-Frankfurt komplett ignoriert wird. Nun könnte man sagen, Frankfurt/M. ist viel größer, ein industrielles, kulturelles und politisches Zentrum and nothing important ever came from Frankfurt (Oder). Aber das ist nicht richtig: Frankfurt O. war eine der 15 Bezirkshauptstädte in der DDR und ist aus Sicht der taz von Berlin aus viel näher gelegen. In Wikipedia steht zum Thema MMA:
Die Kämpfer bedienen sich sowohl der Schlag- und Tritttechniken (Striking) des Boxens, Kickboxens, Taekwondo, Muay Thai und Karate als auch der Bodenkampf- und Ringtechniken (Grappling) des Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Ringens, Judo und Sambo. Auch Techniken aus anderen Kampfkunstarten werden benutzt.
Frankfurt O. war und ist eine Sportstadt. Der Armeesportklub Frankfurt hat zu DDR-Zeiten dort trainiert und es gibt dort jetzt auch einen Bundeswehrsportstützpunkt. Massenhaft Olympiasieger kommen aus Frankfurt O. Sieger*innen im Boxen, im Judo und im Ringen (siehe Sportzentrum Frankfurt). Allen, die in den 90ern irgendwas mit Sport zu tun hatten, dürften Henry Maske und Axel Schulz ein Begriff sein, die beide aus der Boxtradition hervorgegangen sind (trainiert von Manfred Wolke). Auch Menschen, die ansonsten mit dem Boxen nichts am Hut hatten, kannten die beiden. Ihre Boxkämpfe hatten Rekordeinschaltquoten.
Also, wenn eins der beiden Frankfurts hier der Default ist, dann ist es wohl Frankfurt O. Da Katharina Dalisda aus Frankfurt/Main ist, hätte das kenntlich gemacht werden müssen.
Es ist eine Kleinigkeit, aber diese Kleinigkeit zeigt: Der Osten ist in den Redaktionen nicht präsent. Viele Menschen gendern, weil sie es nicht ausreichend finden, dass Frauen nur mitgedacht werden anstatt mitrepräsentiert und mitgenannt zu werden. Der Osten, selbst wenn er direkt vor der Tür liegt, wird nicht mitgedacht. Über den Osten wird bzw. wurde nur geschrieben, wenn es irgend etwas Negatives zu vermelden gibt. Das ändert sich gerade bei der taz so ein bisschen. Hoffen wir, dass das auch nach dem taz-Lab so bleibt.
