That's sad: what was far and away my favorite restaurant during last year's visit to Portland (Ore.) closed. Brunch-serving vegan diners are a particular type of place I love that seems to be an endangered species these days, cf Beach'N in SF, also closed this year.

A federal judge threw out a suit filed by a group of people who said photos of them protesting drag shows and holding signs saying things like, “Stop Grooming Children,” were manipulated by a NC restaurant to show them holding promotional messages for the restaurant, including in an ad for a “Drag Brunch.” The protesters did not suffer a commercial financial loss from the photos’ alterations, so trademark law is not applicable.
