Counterfactual text generation aims to minimally change a text, such that it is classified differently. Judging advancements in method development for counterfactual text generation is hindered by a non-uniform usage of data sets and metrics in related work. The African American History Museum is in Detroit, a short drive from Toronto. Had the chance to visit last year and it was quite an experience to walk through what a slave ship would have looked like.
Definitely worth a visit to Detroit for that (and many other reasons!)
