Claude Sonnet 4.0 describes the image as: "I can see this appears to be from a science fiction television production, likely from the late 1970s or early 1980s based on the visual style and set design. The scene shows two characters in what appears to be a futuristic spacecraft or space station interior, with characteristic metallic wall panels and geometric design elements typical of sci-fi sets from that era.

One character is wearing an elaborate red costume with dramatic shoulder details th…

Yes, smart meters are scarce in Germany, but that does not mean scarcity pricing can be applied to them.
Consumers who request a smart meter, for example to benefit from dynamic electricity prices, should not be charged €900 by their grid operator, but rather a maximum of around €100.

Speaking of cursed USB...
What's the most cursed USB thing you have personally had a hand in creating (whether as an actual product or a one-off personal project or prototype)?
For me, it's probably this 4-port hub with male mini-B connectors (yes mini, not micro or C), intended to mate backplane-style directly to small devkits without using a cable.
The connector was incredibly hard to source because ~nobody ever made USB devices with PCB mount (rather than cable m…

My desk in early 2013 featuring a bunch of Digilent devkits plus three of these bar-shaped hubs in a row, each with four tiny dev boards hanging off them. One port is free, showing the male mini-B connector protruding
Closeup of one board showing a very long, skinny USB hub made on a bare purple PCB with a barrel jack and mini-B jack along the west side and regularly spaced male mini-B ports along the south edge, each connected to a devkit of some sort
