I spent the last week in a PTSD intensive therapy. We had no phones or devices of any type, no radios, no contact for 5 days
I'm slowly transcribing and editing my journal. This is the first entry, from the first night.
It should probably go without saying that there are a number of triggering things here, mainly around family violence and self-harm

I have no idea how or why but on Sunday, I accidentally deleted hundreds of lines in my contact management.
I was notified by my setup and was able to revert the problematic change within minutes. 👍

It’s not realistic to ask people to *never* click a link in email. We’ve got 30 years of experience with that advice not working because MUA developers have never stopped making links active & aggressively looking for anything in email that might be a link, regardless of URL conformance. That’s why SpamAssassin treats so many non-URLs as if they are URLs. Users will click clickable things. Telling them not to do so is unreasonable.

Last week I made GF cardamom buns as part of my Easter dinner. But I had a first pass where I put the psyllium husk into the dry ingredients instead of the proofed yeast & milk (where it would gel). I held onto that batch of dry ingredients and salvaged it yesterday.
The buns came out well, but spread quite a lot. They still had a good texture and density, so I don’t know how much my psyllium oops was a factor.
Still learning GF yeasted baking.

A Boothby-Wang construction in generalized contact geometry

Abstract: We establish a generalized analogue of the Boothby-Wang theorem in generalized contact geometry, along with related results. We present a general method for constructing examples of generalized contact structures that are not of Poon-Wade type, and even examples that fail to be generalized contact structures. Using Courant reduction methods, we construct a generalized complex structure on a smooth leaf space and equip the generalized contact manifold with a principal bundle structure whose connection is defined by the generalized contact data. Under mild assumptions, we show that the curvature induces a symplectic foliation on the leaf space. Several examples are provided.

Nasty shock to European gas price in response to Trump's war: 21% compared to last Friday!
There is one disturbing issue not mentioned in the article: That a man in a care home can be dead for 3 years, and no one in the "family" was aware. That means no one appears to have tried to contact him in 3 years - no family members, no friends.
Yes, the failure of the business enterprises is inexcusable - but the family's behavior?
Veteran died at Calif. hospital. Family wasn't told for 3 years.

I love this premise:
"It has been 62 years since the last Federation contact with the planet."
It sounds real, gloomy, and plausible in the grander scale of the Star Trek universe compared to the usual warping about the Alpha Quadrant.

Over the holidays last last year I was building an Airfix model (good way to ignore the outside world) and discovered two pieces had fallen off the sprues and were not in the box. I considered constructing them myself but I didn't have a good reference image to go by. 99% certain it wasn't my fault, I looked up how to contact Airfix, followed the instructions, and never heard back.
Until Friday, when two tiny pieces of plastic arrived in an adorable little pouch and the modelmaking can continue.
I love good customer service. I just love it.
Does anyone know how Kel is doing?
I don't seem to be able to contact him. Which is fine, but in truth I just want to know he's keeping on keeping on ok.

Every time I check-in to an Icelandair flight, some piece of information is missing (usually passport, often the known traveler number), but today, my contact info was scrambled. The phone number they have for me is my emergency contact’s number! Are they just vibe coding their app over there?
Shocked to find out that people you're speaking to expect eye contact. But if I do that, then how am I supposed to look out for predators, or edible berries?
Air travel can be challenging!
One of the weirder cold contacts I've gotten:

I can’t stop thinking about
Nurul Shah Alam,
the disabled refugee who died after Border Patrol left him outside in the cold with no way to contact friends or family.
It took five days for him to die.
He was blind and didn’t speak English.

This man survived an actual genocide only to be killed by the incompetence and cruelty of the Trump regime.
Five days of wandering around lost, sick and disoriented.
