AI isn’t an existential threat to humanity, capitalism and corporations are.
You see, we created capitalism, a religion modeled on cancer, and the corporation, a new, artificial species; a parasite that co-opts human beings to do its bidding; an organism that’s psychopathic by design and grows by extracting from and exploiting us and our habitat.
And we now find ourselves ruled by this religion and driven to ruin by these parasites as they drain our humanity, destroy our habitat,…

Forget America First
—Under Trump,
It's Corporations First
Big corporations donated heavily
to Trump’s inaugural fund.
Just a few months later,
federal cases against them are being dropped

Sam Altman: "What if an inhuman AI took control of the world by manipulating people's behavior but its core directive was to make paper clips and it burned down the planet to do that? This is so scary and it's a real thing you should be worried about!"
Governments: "Oh boy that's scary we'll make special rules to invest in your company so you can save us from this frightening possibility. Will we restrict or discourage AI use/development? Haha no that would be foolish!"
Me: "What if an inhuman handful of corporate charters took control of the world by manipulating human behavior but their core directive was to maximize venture capital and they burned down the planet to do that? ..."
Governments (sponsored by said corporations): "Send in the SWAT teams now, this idea is dangerous!"

"The big problem is 'bottlenecks' that make it harder to produce housing, expand energy production, or build new roads and bridges."
vs.
"The big problem is that big corporations have way too much power over our economy and our government."
By 12pts all voters and by 42pts Dem voters prefer the second statement. They're right!

I'm increasingly preferring individuals’ blogs over corporate blogs for accessibility guidance, even when those corporations are meant to be accessibility-focused.
SEO chasing and consumer funneling really dilute the usefulness of articles, it turns out.

One of the reasons I appreciate walking, biking, and public transit so much (aside from just being a more joyful/connected way to travel, and better for our environment) is because they starve so many absolutely awful billionaires/corporations/oligarchs of profit. Oil companies, car manufacturers, large chain stores..

Which is why the conservatives supported it, they were thinking ahead for when they’re in power.

They Looted Companies — Now They're Looting the Government
Most executives are no longer rewarded for building durable businesses or contributing to the real economy—they’re rewarded for how efficiently they extract value from the companies that they control.
“Because these people have gotten away with looting corporations, they’ve come to believe it’s their right …

I guess there's no real need to explain why I'm doing this, but there's always someone who was lucky enough to be living in the jungle for a while (or something like that), disconnected from everything.
Hypothetical jungle person: I envy you.
Summary: I'm tired of big corporations stealing everything they can to train their #LLMs, and I'm also tired of companies like #Microsoft being active collaborators of the Trump regime.

What is the purpose of news?
Air pollution kills 10 million people each year and causes untold additional illness and suffering.
It kills at least 100,000 people in the United States alone annually
— about five times the number of police-reported homicides.
But it rarely features in daily news stories.
Police and prosecutors ignore pollution, much of which is criminal,
and so do most journalists.
For example, federal prosecutors charged 23 people…

Warframe shows us a world full of bosses and big corporations crushing the little people. The Corpus exploit workers, the Grineer enforce control with brute force, and the Solaris fight back to survive.
It’s cool to see the game hint at worker solidarity and rebellion. But at the same time, the game makes me grind endlessly or pay up real cash, which feels a lot like the very system it tries to criticize.
Warframe tells a story about breaking chains, but still keeps me locked in …

But I do want to share why this is important.
Unlike most other House campaigns, we operate differently and invest in community organizing year-round and full-time permanent staff.
