Currently depressed about costs of treatment I’ll require. Even with very good dental insurance it’s thousands of dollars.
How do people afford to live in this country, seriously. The thought of savings has been an impossible dream for my husband and I - whenever we save a bit, something like this pops up and poof there it all goes.
No insightful commentary here, I’m just depressed and venting.

This is _WAY_ better than the 24-hour junk news station they usually force on us. I'm all for turning off the TV and pumping those brassy holiday tunes.
@tschfflr@fediscience.orgLife hack*: Put dentist or scary doctor's appointments on the same day as important and also scary work commitments (talks, deadlines) - then the stress at work won't leave time to worry about the other thing 🙃
* In a few weeks I'll report back whether this works or was just a colossally stupid idea leading to failure in both work and life appointment 🙈

@rasterweb@mastodon.socialThere are only 19 work days this month and I need to drive on 9 of them due to other appointments during work hours (PT, dentist, haircut, etc) so even if I could bike to work right now it would be fewer than 10 days but also with the snow and the piriformis pain it's just not happening this month.
I do need to get the trainer set up in the basement with one of the good acoustic bikes to see how pedaling feels right now.
Basically December sucks due to *waves hands* everythin…
