Which means my new TV, while looking sharper and using less energy, comes with an OS that does all it can to make it a pain to use as a monitor.
I can't get a home screen shortcut to my X1 box stick. I add it, the next day it's gone. 📺

...und heute kam tatsächlich ein Pöbelkommentar rein. Über die Bluesky-Brücke. Und bewarb komisches Zeug, dass die Suche auf Heise Online nicht findet. 😆

I was fed up with Matrix and tried coming up with my own federated chat protocol. It got really complex really quickly.
In order to resist enshittification it needs to be decentralised. It can't be P2P because that would drain phone batteries. It must be federated. But that means that your admin could read your messages. So it must be federated and encrypted. And that's where it starts to get real tricky.

The report shows how this phenomenon affects both consumers and society at large, but that it is possible to turn the tide. Together with more than 70 consumer groups and other actors in Europe and the US, we are sending letter to policymakers in the EU/EEA, UK and the US.

Kann es sein, dass das neu ist? Bei Amazon(.de) sieht man inzwischen gar nichts mehr, wenn man Amazon nicht die Berechtigung zur Code-Ausführung für JavaScript erteilt.
Ich denke, bis vor Kurzem war das nur für Bequemlichkeiten (Suche, ...) notwendig. 🤔
