My opinion:
1.) Bridgy Fed (https://fed.brid.gy) is good for the fediverse.
2.) Threads (https://www.threads.com) is good for the fediverse.
3.) If you disagree with #1 or #2, the good thing is that you can block either on a user-level. You don't need to hammer folks like @… for also being @….
4.) If someone is hurting your experience, you can block or report them. You can also create keyword filters to block haters. This is supposed to be enjoyable.

Just me and my trusty phone going up against Western imperialism and its trillion-dollar propaganda machine.

@… I think dB volume is only one part of the equation, most of the whistles I’ve tested max out at about ~120 dB with a heavy blow. A good estimate for a speaking voice is ~60 dB. The frequency of a whistle plays a part in how far the sound carries too. The triple tone whistle has three different pitches, so it’s a more full sound. Happy to answer questions
