New tip for showing students how to express a Windows file location in a text format (e.g., for Stata, R, Python, Julia to read/write):
Find the folder in the File Explorer, right click on it, and click "Open in Command Window".
The prompt shows the location. All they need to do then is replace the stupid backslashes.
I think this is new in W11.
Wow! Using Valinet ExplorerPatcher to change the Windows 11 File Explorer back to the Windows 10 style UI makes it SO MUCH FASTER! https://github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcher/
For file explorer how about looking at the code and remove the bloat. You are treating the symptom and not the cause!
