Today I stumbled on a file in a very weird encoding: it uses 'c9 75' for ü or 'c9 41' for Ä (so 'c9' puts ◌̈ on u or A). Anybody got any idea what encoding this is and how to convert it to UTF-8 without having to fiddle with bytes myself? It was in a MAB2 file (which is an old German bibliographic data exchange format). @…?

.snoop: nope, and ignores all settings including "always check FCS"
.pcap: yep
saving a .snoop file as a .pcap file makes it immediately check all FCS

Every time I convert one of my PNG images to WebP format I'm kinda blown away by how small the file becomes.
I just lost a days worth of work because I had the audacity to include an equation in MS Word. Somehow that corrupted the docx file. I guess it happens when word tried to translate latex style markup to whatever jank it uses under the hood to format equations.
