Goodbye to another SF vegan place 🥲
Today is Nixta Foods’ last day as a popup at Radio Habana Social Club. The proprietor’s rent got raised for his kitchen, so he can’t afford to keep the popup going for now. He’ll be at a festival in South City 8/23 and Berkeley 9/5 though. I got the elote loco and a mushroom spinach tamale (not pictured).

The detectors for the NMX instrument at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund use natural Gd as the neutron converter. In 2024, beam time was obtained at the neutron time-of flight experiment (nTOF) at CERN to study the feasibility of an upgrade to enriched Gd.
