I have CPU2 (the M33) booting from flash, reading a bunch of fuse registers and printing them, doing all the hardware init, etc.
I'm gonna call that reasonably brought up. My current flasher hard codes a few addresses but it's good enough to get the job done while I am tinkering before I make a more permanent solution.
I think I'm ready to start looking into bringing up the A35 next.

1) I don't know if the clock dividers were the problem or not, but I'm seeing weird behavior with the QSPI flash randomly not working properly sometimes.
2) Possibly related: power consumption of the board seems to vary /- 20% from one reset to another. This is an enormous variation, no I do not currently have an explanation.

I'm thinking scenarios like "I've dumped external flash and efuses off a target with encrypted firmware, but I don't know the algorithm or image format".
So ciphertext and key are believed to be known, but bit ordering, endianness, algorithm, headers, etc are unknown.
@azonenberg@ioc.exchangeI finally decided the series-or-single-video question for the PIC12F683 project.
It's getting *way* too long, so I'm going to make it a series. There will be a bunch of components and I'm going to try and release the segments I've already filmed and edited in the next day or two as soon as I get intros and conclusions made for each.
Then move on to circuit analysis of the flash and EEPROM.
@azonenberg@ioc.exchangeFilmed and edited another segment of the PIC video (intro to reading standard cell planar CMOS with whiteboard examples plus deconstructing actual photos of an inverter, NAND2, and GDCAP), now an hour 38 minutes.
Still need to do circuit analysis of the SRAM, flash/EEPROM, config fuses, whatever else I might want to dig into, and add some conclusions.
