NEW ART ALERT!
Hey Garden State Social! Thanks to everyone on the contributing to the cost of running the server I have commissioned more art for the server.
This new piece is by @… and be sure to boost and give them some huge thanks for this work!
This will be our new server header image and can be found on our about page here:

A pixel art illustration of NJ that is green with pixel mountains in the north west and forest in the south and sandy shores. To the right of the state the words "garden state social" looking a bit like plants or an overview how of a hedge maze. All of a blue sea of water.

"Sir Keir’s reshuffle looks less like renewal than a coup by Labour’s “modernising” clique. Ian Murray’s sacking severs a bridge to Anas Sarwar’s Scottish Labour, which had been tacking leftwards, just as the Holyrood election looms, while Lucy Powell’s removal sidelines one of the few cabinet allies of Ed Miliband, the soft left’s champion" -- in other words, Labour is tacking even more violently towards the dark side.

Quotes that have evolved over time to add a twist

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness.
The original first half is by Charles Caleb Colton, Lacon: Or, Many Things in Few Words: Addressed to Those who Think (1820).
The second half was made up by Twitter and then falsely attributed the entire quote to Oscar Wilde, it's still a great addition, I think.

"the additional expenditure on the NHS is not about improving our living standards, but about correcting the physical consequences of the appalling food that the neoliberal food supply industry is delivering to us, which is grossly detrimental to our health. We are not, in other words, better off as a consequence of this additional expenditure" -- @…

A black and white cat lies curled up in a slightly too small flower pot, on a garden table. She is looking at you as if to say "what of it?"
