(Beech forests like these covered two thirds of Germany, but by now they've been dramatically reduced, not just due to logging. Also rising temperatures have been increasing their mortality and general vulnerability...)

An at first pretty uneventful #Bochum, Germany, #sunset today - but with a funny "finale": the first picture is a wider view with a bit of green, followed by three super-close-ups covering the last 3 seconds of the Sun disappearing behind the horizon in very turbulent air. With a laterally separated #GreenSegment at the very end!
