Why every AI company talks about AI safety, but none wants to put their money where their mouth is. Not even Anthropic.
Including comparisons with thalidomide (aka Contergan), asbestos, and tobacco/oil lobbying.
Also that the "but China!" excuse might not hold and that China is banning AI girlfriends, because the resulting addiction will make Chinese youth (and thus China itself) weak.
