In his book 'On the Psychology of Military Incompetence' Norman Dixon describes the tendency of the military to prepare for the previous war. Pete Hegseth takes it several steps further. He prepares for midiaeval testosterone-heavy wars with swords, halberds, and poleaxes and the like. Brilliant weirdo's, nerds, gays and other woke folk that can effectively operate drones and otherwise innovate warfare are to be axed from the army.
