I’ve got a feeling 2026 is finally gonna be the year of the Linux desktop, so here’s my list of recommendations, ranked from 1 being my favorite recommendation to 10 still worth checking out.

Well this is a fun loft find; The logo on the lid seems to be an exact match to Iraqi Republic Railways; the body seems to match a William Adams sugar pot from sometime 1950s onwards. It's not entirely crazy,p the Brits built some infrastructure in Iraq in the 50s.

Eine Katze spielt mit einem Besen der bunten Plastikborsten. Sie reibt sich daran und will in die Borsten beißen, dabei sind ihre langen Eckzähne zu sehen.
Die selbe Katze mit dem selben Besen lässt sich mit diesem den Kopf kraulen. Im Hintergrund ist ihre Schlafhöhle zu sehen die aussieht wie eine Schildkrötenpanzer aus Filz
Die selbe Katze, dieses mal allerdings lässt sie sich mit einem Besen mit pinken Borsten am Kopf kraulen. Den Kopf streckt sie nach oben, die Augen halb geschlossen. Die Schnurrhaare stehen nach vorne ab.

depuis la cuisine, photo de la véranda. À l'extérieur, une fine couche de neige tombée cette nuit dont une bonne partie a déjà fondu. les mangeoires dans le noisetier ne désemplissent pas de mésanges, moineaux et pinsons des arbres. au premier plan, hivernage de boutures d'hortensias, Schlumbergeras et hellébores.

Right, first small cupboard of LPs catalogued; ~40 of them; quite a mix; Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs at Carnegie Hall from 1963, Cliff Richard & The Shadows also 1963, 5 Tomita synth LPs from the mid to late 70s, Troggs from 1966, Charley Pride 1972, Johnny Cash 1962, and probably te newest was Chet Atkins and Mark Knofler from 1990

It's fun seeing the old amateur radio licensing paperwork my dad had; one of his early (not quite earliest) from 1965, from the GPO (General Post Office) - typed header and hand filled in. Later ones in the 60-70s are still hand filled in; As it moves from one ministry to another. So much hand written/typed stuff - must have been hell!
