It seems that both AI and climate anxiety share a common root: the current structure of capitalism.
Our system, which demands constant, unrestricted growth, shapes everything from our economy to our psychology.
In the climate crisis, it manifests as overproduction and overconsumption, while in AI, it drives the replacement of human labor with cheaper machine labor and the optimization of attention economies.

Richard Murphy, who previously advocated green growth, gets there in the end.
"The real challenge we face is not how to restart a growth engine that has already driven us to the edge of environmental collapse. It is how to redesign the economy so that the resources we already have are used to meet human and ecological needs.
Growth is not coming back — and nor should our democracy depend upon it."

We have labeled the band-aids/gauze. Pray we do not label it any further.
[#BikeTooter, I guess?]

A closed plastic storage box containing multiple boxes inside of it, including "wound care kit", "economy size value pack bandage assortment", something kind of "band-aid" box, etc.

On the lid of the box is a label that reads, "HUMAN PATCH KITS."

SIMPLETON: Yes, this will crash the economy because wrong math = lost money
EXPERT: No, this won’t crash the economy because people screw up even without AI, business operations are already riddled with ridiculous errors, and human systems have grown resilient to pervasive local failure
WISE SAGE: Yes, this will crash the economy because the economy is currently propped up by gullible investors •believing• this BS is real actual magic, and if they find out it it sucks like normal, the bubble pops

I don’t think there has ever been a technology that is so utterly perfect for fascists as video from generative “AI”.
The purpose of propaganda is largely to create indifference to actually real things (like human suffering, the economy crashing or losing a war), this will be a hundred times easier if no video can be trusted anymore.
