We just got an "imminent threat alert" for tornadoes and telling us to go to the basement.

So, today, here in Santa Cruz, California, our iPhones lit up with an "imminent" tornado warning and we were told to seek shelter.

So how did our alert system go?
Not well.
The iPhones came through, but not everybody has an iPhone at hand.
How about FEMA weather alert radios - they were silent about it.
How about the Watch Duty app? Again, silence.
