But that headline is misleading and the study overclaims too.

In case you missed it: SF is planning to axe its Bike Advisory Committee.
The task force also proposes removing confirmation for mayoral appointments (which is all appointments) to the transportation board. This would remove one of the few checks on a bike-hostile mayor, which... we currently have!

It also recommends increasing the mayor's influence over the SFMTA Board by allowing him to fire directors
