XFCE4 seems like a viable desktop environment if/when KDE ceases to be serviceable. I'll have to port my Beat-It! plugin, and may need to write or massage some existing ones (the task switcher/launcher situation is...sub-optimal), but there's still time.

Showing the nwg-drawer (although I shortcut most applications) Bar at 99%, so it aligns with windows below. Everything can be adjusted very simply, before applying. Nwg-shell rocks!

I was experiencing unusually high VRAM usage on the RX 7800 XT (GPU choking and cr@pping itself) in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart (and in a couple of other games). So I decided to use the AMD Cleanup Utility and reinstall the current 25.12.1 drivers. When I started the game again, the ray tracing settings in it were grayed out, and there's NO fixing it, no matter what I tried 😆 And the VRAM issue wasn't fixed 😄

Hoy he desinsalado Nova launcher. Uno de los principales motivos es de sobra por aquí conocido, el dev abandona (o le echan) el proyecto y la empresa que lo adquiere no deja que sea open source.
El segundo, y no menos importante, es que lo compré por 0,49€ allš entre 2015-2018 (no recuerdo la fecha exacta pero son los años que estuve usando el Mi4), y a día de hoy sigue siendo exactamente igual que por aquellos entonces.

One thing which is annoying about Vivaldi and also Firefox and presumably also all the other Android web browsers is the way the "Add To Homescreen" button works on pages like Mastodon which are Progressive Web Apps.
If you add the shortcut to the homescreen then it opens as a WPA which means the browser stuff is all gone and hidden. No back button. No way to bookmark. No way to launch a link in a new browser window etc.
Ought to be two separate buttons for "Add a link to the homepage" vs "Add this app as an app to the homepage" but there isn't.
You can get around this by turning on airplane mode and adding a link to the error page to the homescreeen, which then works as a link to the website in the browser, not a WPA app, when you're online again.
I did this to the links I use with Vivaldi before I realized it's proprietary and so will not do.
Trying to rebuild them as Firefox links again and sadly something is broken now. Won't add the error page. Tells me the pixel launcher is crashing.
So I can't have the old web bookmark links to pages in WPA apps. Boo. 😦

@… This is one little issue that might be annoying depending on desktop environment. If a user has pinned a launcher and its name changes then they may need to pin it again.
I am aware that might be an issue but I figure I have to bite the bullet at some point and do this so… 🤷

Ich könnte jetzt #AshesOfCreation spielen, die Kickstarter Kampagne war vor lässigen 9 Jahren. Ich habe seitdem abgesehen von etwas Guild Wars 2 keine MMO mehr gespielt und ich habe nicht mal mehr einen Windows PC, vielleicht läuft es unter Linux. Eigentlich will ich es doch mal probieren...
