Image is a bit blurry, but from starting up the new #linux laptop, check for software, install updates (includes kernel update) it was under three and a quarter minutes and includes time waiting for me to respond.
Work Win11 machine can take hours for simple updates to my installed apps and don't get me started on how long it takes for it to update system software.

I'll be getting my main laptop back soon, on which—for reasons that aren't relevant here—I've had to temporarily install Windows.
Now I'm faced with the dilemma of choosing a distro. Since my ThinkPad runs Arch Linux, I'm wondering if it's time to reinstall Fedora.
What I do know for sure is that it's time to give Wayland and Hyprland a try, after years of using i3wm.

Things I've learned today:
- Valgrind does not support AVX512 instructions. That was an adventure because I was writing purposefully bad code at the time...
- However, changed strategies and used `clang` with the `fsanitize=address,undefined` option which seems to work perfectly fine.

We lost with honors

After breaking the Blackwidow Wolverine V3 Pro controller somehow, replaced it with a much less expensive GameSir G7 Pro Tri-Mode. Comes with a charging station, USB-C cable, and a 2.4GHz wireless dongle while also supporting Bluetooth. Initial thoughts is that it's a pretty solid controller and should be easy enough to clean. The D-Pad has all of the clickiness, but works well enough. I'll put it through its paces later on today with some FF16.

Some apps are hard to figure out, like this health care app I'm forced to use to get medical info.

I may be unemployed, but I also had a Superstation One delivered today which was a very nice surprise. Gotta say it's absolutely beautiful and has about every analog output imaginable. Setup wasn't too horrible, but definitely had to grab the microSD card image and reflash the card before I got things working properly.
Overall though I like the device. I might stream a game later and see what this thing can do overall.
