Defence lawyer in Hockey Player Sex Assault Trial:
"She may not have initially planned a night like this, but her “inhibitions were lowered and her sexual interest was heightened.””
Tell Me I'm Wrong: the lawyer basically just argued that if you get a woman (or any unwilling partner) drunk or high enough that it ‘lowers” their inhibitions and “heightens" their sexual interest, then you can do whatever the hell you want. No regrets.
Disgusting violent-misogynist-excusing bullshit.

I'm afraid this is true. I already struggle to raise enough money to keep the very talented young scientists I have working with me (from many different countries already), finding funding for more will be difficult, and why should US scientists essentially queue jump just because of their nationality ? I know that sounds harsh, I have very good US colleagues, but I have to be fair to all, regardless of where they come from. OTOH, if you are a US scientist and you are interested in exploring possibilities in Denmark, give me a shout and we'll see what we can do.

At a time when strategists across Wall Street are dialing back their recession probabilities, Peter Berezin of BCA Research is doubling down.
President Donald Trump's 90-day tariff pause was enough to ease the worries of some investors,
but the chief global strategist at BCA has maintained his bearish outlook.
While Berezin has lowered his recession outlook from Liberation Day levels,
he still expects an economic slowdown to unfold this year.
