I recently tried to log into my old Wikipedia account only to realize I'd forgotten the password, and that it was named after a character from some shit I was writing before I knew I was trans. So I've created a new one, and also whipped up one of those sick-ass user pages.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Ena

To this user, death is instrumental in the perpetuation of creation.
This user will die like Fred Hampton or Amy Winehouse.
This user shares a demon with Wexner and an angel with Muhammad.
This user lives in a nation under men who fuck their daughters.
This user is willing to do cocaine and psychedelics with you, but only once.
This user is bravely openly trans and bisexual even though this likely detracts from her aura.

I was lucky to get invited on a tour of the University of Coimbra (Portugal) on a recent trip - apparently the 14th oldest university in Europe (1290), and the highlight was definitely the Joanine Library (Biblioteca Joanina). Photography is not permitted in the main library but we were allowed to take snaps in the 19th century vault. A truly remarkable piece of design combining function with beautiful decoration.

After Britain & France pressured Czechoslovakia to accept the Nazi annexation of their Sudatenland, Hitler said –87 years ago today– that was "the last territorial demand I have to make in Europe". The West believed his lie.
Let's not repeat that disastrous mistake.

Interesting corollary to the #Perseverance discovery in the Bright Angel formation on #Mars making headlines 1 1/2 months ago: at a public talk in Bochum as part of a mathematics outreach event - #Life Detection scale #MarsSampleReturnMission the rating could jump up to 5 or 6 after lab analysis.
Green also remarked that the sample tubes dropped by Percy are up for grabs for *any* spacefaring nation capable of doing a MSRM - including China though they don't plan to go after the Percy samples with their upcoming #Tianwen3 mission (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tianwen-3) as far as he has heard. And regardless of where they'll get their own samples they could advance the case for life, perhaps even extant, on Mars a lot - which Green feels has been all but made in the past decades of Mars research anyway. Oh, and he also thinks terraforming Mars is quite viable ...
