Protect your info online folks and don't expect much from AirBnB if you get a fraudulent charge from them on your card!
I recently saw an AirBnB purchase on my credit card. I did not make it. $CAD466 for a reservation in London. I have never even had my CC connected to AirBNB and my account is secure. It was obviously made by someone who got my CC info.
I saw it a couple days after the transaction but it was still pending on my statement. So I called my bank (VanCity) and th…

A screenshot of the first email from AirBNB:
Hi Christopher,

Thank you for your patience as we looked into your question about a suspected, unauthorized charge on your credit card.

Often, apparent unauthorized charges result from another person (usually a close friend or family member) using your credit card unintentionally. Our investigation into this charge led us to conclude that this is what occurred in this instance.

As a result, we will not be able to refund this charge.

We recommend …
A screenshot of the final email from AirBNB says:
Hi Christopher,

Thank you for your reply. We understand your concerns, but please rest assured that a full and thorough investigation has been carried out on the disputed charge. As outlined in the previous message, a refund cannot be issued in cases in which we believe a friend or family member who has access to your payment method has used it unintentionally.

Unfortunately, we're unable to release any information regarding the reservation o…

When I write about my cycles, 90% of the time I mention my unicycles or my penny farthing but I do also absolutely love my #UrbanArrow Family #eCargobike.
The fact that you can move around relatively large stuff so easily is always so satisfying. 😍

Urban Arrow Family bike loaded with a peice of white furniture (a shoe cabinet) and two steel bins.

The bike has a pink cushioned seat on the back for a child to ride on. Behind the bike there is snow on the ground.

#AudioEye has a blog post where its CAO talks about “trust, transparency, collaboration, and innovation.”
Which is code for rebranding its #overlay product without issuing refunds for its prior guarantees.
Anyway, I offer my thoughts in a bit more detail as a comment on the post that got me sued:

She's very hard to see, but this is my nearly 16 year old female kitty named Bess.
She loves when I lay on the couch as she will often curl up close to me and sleep comfortably for hours!
#Caturday #Bess

A photo I took when I was laying on the couch and my nearly 16 year old black female cat Bess was sleeping next to me on the dark green blanket.

You can see my entertainment center in the background and part of my 65-inch TV, PS5, Nintendo Wii, Xbox Series S, Groot coffee cup and more.

I've spent some of today finding bottlenecks in my world-simulating cellular automaton, and I can now simulate 10,000 years of history from the middle of the Ice Age to the middle of the Iron Age over 40,000 square kilometres (at kilometre scale) in slightly under two minutes of wall-clock time. It's utterly caning my poor computer, but it doesn't crash.
#Clojure

Part of a map of the Stewartry, two hundred simulated generations from the start of human settlement. High hills are still heavily forested, but there's masses of human settlement around Beeswing, Corsock, New Galloway and Creetown.
The state of my poor computer in the middle of a simulation run. Memory is maxed out (garbage collection is clearly the major bottleneck) and eight of my twelve processor cores are also maxed out.

Hey friends! my #prints arrived earlier than expected! I chose 30x30cm for each print and have them on my walls now. Definitely a good choice! ❤❤❤
All four are from my own #hiking trips and you might have seen them already. I am absolutely happy that I chose those.
I put them on FAA as we…
