So against my better judgment, I actually responded to this. For a moment, I thought it might actually not be a lead into a scam, but the second I saw that “can you forgive me“ I’m like yah, 80% this is a scam lead in.

Monkeybrains is now advertising the parcel it stole from community gardeners as an event space under the name “Third Thursdays on Treat.”
They don’t own this land. They are squatters who used violence, threats, and lawfare to displace neighbors who were selflessly working to make Parcel 36, or the Mission Greenway, a public space. #sfpol

I grew up in rural Iowa, where my parents, two siblings, and I lived in a two-bedroom, one-bath house.
My father was a farmer, and my mother was a small business owner.
As I grew older, I saw my neighbors lose everything as Iowa’s economy collapsed during the farm crisis of the 1980s.
That experience shaped how I see the economy

I’m so sad. My favorite #nashville haunt, 12 South Taproom is closing. It was the last remaining laid back spot for great food, drinks, and music - the rest of the businesses on 12th sold out or were forced out for tourism ages ago.
Thank you for 15 years of laid back hangs with friends and neighbors!

Garage sale day, should be last of the season, as it's getting too hot. Just finished setting up, 7am. Every time I wonder, 'do I really have enough for a garage sale?' The answer is always YES, of COURSE I do (with some additions from the in-laws) 😂 Neighborhood sale, like, 5 houses doing it today, I think. This is outside mine:
