I just read Lorena Barba's "Experience embracing genAI in an engineering computations course: What went wrong and what next" and it's one of the best pieces I've read on the challenges of using LLMs in beginning computing classrooms.
"Students quickly developed patterns of using AI as a shortcut rather than a learning companion, leading to decreased attendance and an 'illusion of competence'"

Ich lese zum wiederholten Mal von Zeitungen und Medienhäusern, die Journalisten kündigen und zukünftig mit KI weitermachen wollen und werden. Der Beruf des Journalisten wird damit weniger und weniger attraktiv. Wenn wir nicht aufpassen, ist das Journalistenhandwerk in zwanzig oder dreißig Jahren also so gut wie ausgestorben und wird nur noch von ein paar Liebhabern im musealen Kontext gepflegt. #justthinkin
