Does anybody have a whole-house exhaust fan in their house? We had one in a house I lived in back in the 60s and what I mainly remember was it was loud af. I don’t think we need as big a one as that was, and there’s not really room for one that big. I’m just thinking about maybe possibly getting one. We’ve got central air, but it’d be nice to just run a fan at night. We typically get a 30-40 degree temp range during the summer here, so a fan would work nicely, if it’s quiet.

This is my nominee for least-covered, least-understood story of the decade. The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact is the righteous and plausible path to ending the Electoral College. No constitutional amendment required.
That seems too good to be true. Also, to wrap your head around it requires a bit of effort. It’s almost like (content warning!) math.
But take a minute or two, and the light will dawn. This could happen. And it should.
