We show that a RFRS Poincaré-duality group $G$ admits a virtual epimorphism to the integers whose kernel is itself a Poincaré-duality group over every field if and only if the $L^2$-homology of $G$ vanishes and so do the positive-characteristic variants thereof. Exact Poincaré Constants in three-dimensional Annuli
We study 3d-annuli. In our non-dimensional setting each annulus $Ω_{\cal A}$ is defined via two concentrical balls with radii ${\cal A}/2$ and ${\cal A}/2 +1$. For these geometries we provide the exact value for the Poincaré constants for scalar functions and calculate precise Poincaré constants for solenoidal vector fields (in both cases with vanishing Dirichlet traces on the boundary). Functional second-order Gaussian Poincaré inequalities
In this paper, we work in the framework of Hilbert-valued Wiener structures and derive a functional version of the second-order Gaussian Poincaré inequality that leads to abstract bounds for Gaussian process approximation in $d_2$ distance. Our abstract bounds are flexible and can be applied in various examples including functional Breuer-Major central limit theorems, shallow neural networks, and spatial statistics of SPDEs solutions.
