Die Desktop-Umgebung KDE Plasma 6.4 kachelt die virtuellen Desktops flexibler mit Fenstern, vereinfacht die Bedienung und legt bei der HDR-Darstellung nach.

#KDE #Plasma (ver. 6.4.3) hasn't crashed or hitched or misbehaved even once for the last few days, and has become so feature-rich and easy to use, it deserves a 10/10 thank-you-heart ❤️
(not to mention the mind-blowing software workings under the hood right down to kernel level…

A number of distros are a bit behind, but FreeBSD also has Plasma 6.4.2 in the repos. Hope they get the Wayland session fixed for it, it goes to show they are very much on the front foot here. If so KDE would easily become the nr. 1 desktop in BSD land.

Finally switched to Chimera Linux @… as a daily driver (using Plasma Desktop). The migration was painless and everything (except akonadi/pim) is working flawlessly.

all Linux desktop environments fit one of 4 types
1. start menu in bottom left corner
(looks like windows 7)
(cinnamon and plasma)
2. dock at bottom center
(looks like Mac and Windows 11)
3. tablet-y
(gnome)
4. tiling window managers
