Do you oppose new political parties on the basis that they might "split the vote" and give power to the other side? Maybe it's electoral reform you should be looking into.
(When I was young, people used to object to reform as it might let the BNP gain seats. FPTP eventually produced governments with the BNP's policies anyway.)
