New leadframe preservation concept: solder the DUT to a QFN breakout board, apply rubber masking material and kapton tape to the board surface to protect as much as possible of the FR4.
Then "partial-decap" the part without actually masking off any of the top of the device.
In theory I should get a die on a paddle and skeletonized leadframe soldered to a breakout board.
