This took just a smidge longer than the Rust solve, but still not too horrible coming in at around 1.5 to 2 seconds. Getting all of the potential coordinate combinations along with their distances sorted made everything so much easier.

Ik dacht even door over Trumps opmerking dat de VS het recht hebben om 'zichzelf met vriendelijk buren te omringen' binnen hun 'invloedssfeer'.
De afstand tussen de VS en Venezuela is zo'n 2500 km.
De afstand tussen Amsterdam en Sint Petersburg is nog geen 1800 km. En dan laat ik Kaliningrad (veel dichterbij) nog voor wat het is.
Kortom wij liggen volgens Trump in de invloedssfeer van Putin.
Dat we het maar even weten.

Once I pulled my head out of my ass this wasn't horrible. Part 1 was straightforward, decided to do some set stuff and managed to get it right the first time. Part 2 made my brain hurt a bit because all of the ideas that came to me were very, very slow and memory intensive. Then decided to scrap it and just do what the directions told me to do: count the paths...so I replaced the dumb with a dictionary which was so much better as an idea.

Trump gaat Putin opnieuw helpen. De oorlogsmisdadiger wordt NB in een EU-land verwelkomd.
Het enige dissidente EU-land dat hem niet onmiddellijk aan het ICC in Den Haag wil uitleveren.
Het wordt een circus, maar onderhandelingen over vrede gaat het niet opleveren. Wel opnieuw uitstel. Uitstel van de maatregelen tegen Rusland die Trump nooit zal nemen.

Yesterday, I wanted to quickly post something on my blog when I realized that my blog generating process was broken after upgrading to Debian 13.
So I had to analyze the situation, got lost in my complex shell script hell and decided to merge it into one single script without lots of dated stuff.
Next I realized that one of my own libs has a minor issue with Python 3 strings: had to migrate to raw strings to get rid of very valid warnings.
Well, I could not publish that lib…

There are arguably discrete acts of hypocrisy by earlier presidents, who claimed exceptions from international laws in the pursuit of US interests, but mostly embraced global norms in the knowledge that the “rules-based system” overwhelmingly favoured America.
Trump has complete disdain for that system. He looks at the world through the eyes of a 19th-century imperialist, but with 21st-century weapons.
