Buenos días. Ayer pensé que voy a ir guardando en un repositorio todos los scripts que tengo para distintas tareas. Que son pocos, pero seguramente iršn creciendo.
Los voy a ir ordenando por shell, de modo que meteré también los de rc a no mucho tardar. De momento sólo tengo uno para fish y FreeBSD.

This week I watched a video about Grist posted by LawrenceSystems and found it to be a good fit in what I've been looking for a while now.
Basically just a spreadsheet with API support for automation with other systems and data collectors. Been using SuiteCRM for a while and it worked well enough but is too clunky and brittle to quickly add/adjust columns or extend functionality.
Thus far have put together some middleware for device inventory management and about to work on …

I do like nushell a lot, but it’s not good at this. It wants you to conform, and this means you really can’t make big scripts in it. (Some would argue that’s a feature; I disagree.)

I have to use #Gitlab CI at $work, and I'm surprised how clunky it is.
CI Components are not real components, they just dump YAML into a global namespace, needing hacks to customize them.
There's no reusability at the granularity of Github Actions (other than concatenation of bash scripts).

I'm currently bisecting isc-dhcpd to figure out where the javastation boot breaks; it's hideous - the versions I'm on use manually coded configure scripts with switches on Linux major version (2 being largest) and have headers that need extern's scattering in for a modern compiler for some reason.

Happens a lot. There was a bug in the MedAdvisor Android app. It wouldn't accept photos of scripts for several weeks. I sent them an email explaining the problem we had encountered. I included the information that it didn't work on either my phone model or the husband's different model both running android version etc. Their first response was to ask what phone I was using. 🤦‍♀️

Creating chroot jails for things can cause files like /proc or /sys or /dev/urandom to show up in places you might not originally have been expecting them to.

I have officially surrendered to Chromium, losing out on stable Violentmonkey/Stylus which sucks HARD for tweak scripts but at least I can manage keyboard shortcuts for extensions without bending over backwards, seriously how has FF still not fixed this shit? New in #Python world: #setuptools now vendors deep dependencies with LGPL license. Not that I do mind (but some people and companies do!) — but these dependencies aren't even used! I mean, `autocommand` is just a dependency of some scripts in `jaraco.text` that aren't used by setuptools.
