I now have a set of logic running against https://gardenstate.social to silence or ban accounts that seem bot like. Does it work? I probably can't fully say because I get a lot of obvious bot signups and not many actual people who sign up (yet).

I'm getting weird spam signups. They use nonsensical names, but email addresses with existing (if spammy) domains. They pass the captcha. And then they are registered and never do anything. Any ideas where these are coming from?

The NDP Leadership race is heating up now that the deadline for membership signups is only two weeks away (Jan 28).
Leah Gazan, MP for Winnipeg Centre, and Anjali Appadurai, former BC NDP Leadership candidate who scared the #BCNDP so bad they had to disqualify her from the race, have both today announced their support for Avi Lewis as NDP Leadership candidate. I believe Appadurai has been working in Lewis’ campaign since the beginning.
Both of these women are strong NDP leaders with deeply progressive followers, young and old.
