Short documentary about the evolution of car chase scenes in movies. I didn't know that "The French Connection" shows an actual traffic accident with a civilian car that wasn't involved in the shoot! The film team hadn't even acquired a permission to film their chase scenes.
The video mentions CGI for set extensions but unfortunately it doesn't cover the full CG cars and environments that we're seeing nowadays.

This is a really good assessment (why people are complaining BlueSky is “mean”), IMO.
It’s also true of Mastodon, for very similar reasons.
If I may mangle a line from “Grosse Pointe Blank”:

My solution to the problem @… mentions:
1. Make password the •only• login field. No username/email! Just password, and you’re in!
2. Because they now identify users, passwords must to be unique across all users in a system.
3. For security reasons, require passwords to be unique across all sites on the entire Internet. A password can be used at most once in human history.
4. This renders account recovery impossible in many cases.
5. Over time, users are thus able to use fewer and fewer sites, eventually being forced offline altogether.
6. Success!

I appreciate all the legal thoughts laid out here in this piece (via @…), and yes, Congress and all the relevant parties should move in all these fronts.
I find it hard, however, to take completely seriously a legal strategy document of this length that (1) imagines Congress doing any of this and (2) mentions the SCOTUS only twice, and then only in reference to its past upholding of law. I’m not convinced this is a piece that fully appreciates the severity of the current situation and the degree of institutional rot.

Unclear to me why no one ever mentions Strongbox in #PasswordManager reviews. It is a perfectly fine PM for macOS/iOS/iPadOS that has a rich set of sync options, most of which don't involve any 2nd/3rd party storage. It stores its databases in KeePass2.x (kdbx v4) format, so it is data-compatible with the many variations of KeePass.
