The bar we wanted to go to last night was closed for a private event so we tried to see if barmini would take us without a reservation, and they had space. Excellent cocktails and service as you’d expect!

A mezcal Negroni and a tequila old fashioned.
Gopalito cocktail in a pretty glass. Gin, amontillado, honey, ginger, sudachi, lemon, sesame oil
A closeup on an ice cube with the bar name embossed in it and a tiny flower on top

Saw these solar power flower things. Seems not a good use of space to me unless you really really need the benefit of pointing them at the sun and moving - I doubt we need that.

a landscape-format closeup of a single leafless begonia stem with two orange-yellow flowers on it standing in a small dark grey glass jar, hit by very soft, and not a lot of morning light coming from the left, in front of a dark background
the same begonia stem in the same vase, but turned a bit so as to focus on the bigger of the two flowers, which now takes up most of the picture space. the image is in portrait format and quite dark overall, with the light parts concentrated in the petals of the flower
a view similar to the previous image, but zoomed out a bit and lighter overall, so that the whole of the vase and the begonia stem are visible, and the wooden board they are standing on and white wall behind can be made out

The dual image creates a mirrored effect, with colorful "of course" text in orange and pink between the two portraits. Lloyd wears sunglasses and is photo…
This photo showcases a rare Japanese pressing of a Charles Lloyd album, displayed in a record collector's library.

The Album: "Forest Flower" by Charles Lloyd - specifically a Japanese pressing on the Atlantic Jazz Age label. The cover features a golden-yellow background with typography displaying "FOREST FLOWER" and "CHARLES LLOYD" in red and cream lettering, with "AT MONTEREY" below. The main image shows Charles Lloyd wearing sunglasses and a cap, captured mid-performance playing his saxopho…
