There is a growing body of research showing that recent high-profile shootings in the US are mostly committed by people heavily influenced by online spaces,
where traditional political divides are largely irrelevant.
The counter-terrorism strategy made no mention of white supremacist violence or young people who are being radicalized online,
even though federal officials have previously acknowledged the risks these networks pose.

I’m getting really tired of AI magnifying all the worst aspects of humanity. It’s happening in every sector, and the examples are plentiful. This is why I’m becoming more anti-AI by the day. While I know there are people and organsations using the technology for amazing things, the net effect it has on us is negative as it enables far too many of us to display the worst parts of ourselves at an increasingly rapid rate.

Street preachers need to know something.
Jesus, if he existed, according to the texts did not go out into the public to preach. People came to him. The sermon on the mount was done in a private place.
Please leave public spaces alone or better yet actually connect with people instead of shouting.

Read the 2026 Empowering Collections report now 📥
Back in 2019 we published Empowering Collections, a report which made recommendations calling for museums, funders and policy-makers to work together to ensure that museum collections are empowering, relevant and dynamic.
Listening to a powerhouse of a panel at the Museums Association's Future of Museums: Empowering Collections conference
Gaby Porter: what is our purpose of museums? who are we here to serve? what role do collections play in this? what is the opportunity cost of current practices? Break down the binary of front of house, back of house, encourage more collaboration
