Sparky, of the dining table dangling pose, now sits on a window sill looking at the camera and looking rather fine. The window has a fabric mesh over it to stop the cats walking on the outside window sill, as our sitting room is upstairs. Through the mesh you can see blue sky and a mature beech tree. I love the views from upstairs.

Question: Any ideas for what I use instead of a shoe to represent my human character?
For my tabletop game prototype (which is an adaptation of my digital game in dev), I have a shoe to represent the human figure. Its a game about bugs working together to stop the human destroying the backyard. I want to give the sense of size disparity and the clomping nature of the human stepping on them.
I've just found out there is a superstition around shoes on tables: it's bad luck.…

Fråga från en kille med små kunskaper i nationalekonomi. Många pratar om AI och AGI som existensiella hot. Men å andra sidan talas om AI som en bubbla. Hur skulle vi märka av om en sådan bubbla brister? Fastighetsbubblan gav oss dyrare boende och högre ränta, vad skulle hända om AI aldrig riktigt tar sig och spricker?

Kleines Rätsel für Ortskundige: Finde den Fehler!

Working an unusual pattern of days this week and I can't decide if I like it. On the one hand I'm not knackered but on the other I don't get my usual block of four days off when I put my non-archaeology head on. I'm switching between states more which isn't always easy. Anyway, it means more chores get done during the week as I have the beans. Sparky is very confused but that's not unusual, love him. Tails takes it all in her stride as usual.
