TIL: Photo prints are actually imperial, not metric.
EU folks will typically know 10x15cm or 15x20cm as possible sizes for photo paper and prints.
If you buy 10x15cm prints, you'll actually get a 4x6inch (or 6x8inch) print instead.
So if you're trying to use one of those self-service printing machines to get accurate sizes, your image files need to be sized for inches not centimeters -- then it'll actually be very accurate and match perfectly.
