It was hard to leave my teams and the small Cloud Security org that I grew, but days like this are why it was worth it

In a few months, I will be looking for a security leadership role at an organization that aligns with my values

For a mainstream notebook with an MSRP of US$900, surging memory prices alone could raise retail prices by more than 30%; combined with CPU price increases, the total price hike could approach 40%. If memory and CPU prices rise simultaneously, their combined share of notebook BOM costs could climb to 58%. CPU supply volatility is also emerging, with shortages beginning to affect entry-level platforms across multiple brands.

I just realized that my father-in-law does not have an email-address!
I’m visiting later for tech-support but that’s only relevant to his wife. She has the notebook, the smartphone and the inbox!
The man has no concept of any of this stuff! 😵‍💫
(Also, he was working in an actual mine back in the day and not the virtual ones his grand-children yearn for!)

TR-49 (2026) from inkle is a Type-Help-like that's.. ok. the beginning is a little rough, there isn't a clear hook like Type Help. the dialog and surface story is meh. the deeper story is better. in a few places the game is overly helpful: your notebook will summarize facts you've found that you might not have realized you've found. ~4-6 hr to reach an ending, another ~1-2 hr to find all the endings. each ending is caused by some single action you can undo; no other branching…

New SQL Notebook: Home made font tracing
There are many tools outwhere to create fonts from bitmap images, be it handwritten fonts or fonts from old books. They all involve quite a lot of homework. Letters have to be written carefully on a grid, bounding boxes have to be defined.
I wondered if the process could be made a little bit more straightforward. I want just to scan a book´s page and the tool creates the font for me, identifying all letters.
