I’m done with my #Mac storage cleanup.
I deleted:
- cache for two Adobe apps that have been uninstalled months ago (After Effects and InDesign)
- cache and apps for two browsers I haven’t used in months (Chrome and Arc)
- cache for a Mail account that I haven’t opened in years
As a result, I cleared 227Gb of local storage and deleted 370,000 files.
Kind of crazy how much bloat accumulated from so few apps.

hmm https://youtu.be/QDoasQC2IJM my unanswered question is why the submerged part of the tower rotates in the water: wouldn’t that have bad losses from viscosity? my guess would be that it’s better to enclose the rotating shaft, that friction in bearings would be lower… tho maybe they need less steel if they don’…

Students on the campus where I work oppose Ontario Bill 33 - the Orwellian titled "Supporting Children and Students Act." Among other things, the bill would require universities to admit only on merit (though it provides no definition) and would allow the province to decide which fees are required and which are optional, which would undercut student unions, newspapers, and radio as well as some financial support for students.
