Is it just me or is kernel 6.12.57 in #debian13 borked?
#virtualbox freezes when starting up a VM. The host system then hanging at poweroff/reboot... and ultimately ended up kernel panicking after hard-reset.
went back to 6.12.48 and all is fine..

Now I simply can not find 2.3.1_1 in quarterly or latest for 14 or 15. Looking at the date of commit 12d2f0b (Friday), I guess that the bootstrap was from local FreeBSD-15.0-BETA3-amd64-dvd1.iso (not online).
Digging online was not a waste of time, I stumbled into something surprising:
