Windows 10 reaches end-of-life today (for consumers), but Windows 11 (for many users) will require a new PC. US organisations that have been putting off replacing their old PCs have timed it nicely in increase the amount of money the government will get from tariffs.

Oh… Windows 10 goes EOL on October 14? Right, right. I’d almost forgotten, mainly because my daily driver doesn’t nag me about end-of-life dates. Debian tends to outlive hardware, not demand a funeral every few years.
