Pulled it out, but you're really not puzzling out the answer when there are so many words that fit that initial 3 known letters, each using different letters (well I guess the last 2 did share a letter, so if I had thought of all of the words when I made guess 3, I should have tried one of them first.
Actually I see there were 2 pretty common first letters among the 10 remaining words. And it ended up that getting the answer was just lucky.

I'm pretty sure I had used this starting word before, but I just really felt it would be a good word today. I was right. I thought of 2 options for the 2nd word, and went w/ the one that felt more NYTimesy.
Interestingly, the bot would have gone w/ the other one.

Eventually I came to the right answer.
So I used a word on my 4th guess I was 99% sure wasn't the answer, but I needed to test letter placement and other letters. Interestingly, this word was selected as the best guess on my 3rd guess. But it suggested a different word for my 4th guess.
