Ah fuck, people are using LLMs for kernel code. They really are going to fuck over everything, aren't they?

I also noticed what @… noticed: the Minneapolis police — Minneapolis!! — having to warn citizens about another law enforcement agency who are even more dangerous and less accountable than they are. https://hachyderm.io/@rationaldoge/114752072701388506
We have to talk about burning trash🗑️🔥
Waste incinerators / waste-to-energy plants that generate electricity and heat are an enormous and often underestimated source of CO2 🏭💨🌎. For example, in Germany, a country where waste-to-energy plants are common, their emissions are higher than those of cement.
Waste incinerator operators will often claim that half of their emissions don't count 🌿 or even that they already have net-negative emissions 🌎. I disagree with both 🧵

The King's Lodge
(Not all kings built hunting lodges, even fewer built them on precipices like these, but some of Bavaria's last ones did and not just in one place... Not endorsing kings in any form, just admiring their choice of locations.... btw. the picture only shows the top half of the drop)

Bei Schlachten, Belagerungen etc. finde ich den Wechsel zwischen Mikro- und Makro-Ebene im Tischrollenspiel nicht immer einfach.
Wie seid ihr die Schlachten in der Kampagne angegangen?
Mein Vorgehen: Drei Listen: freundliche Einheiten, feindliche Einheiten, Orte. Alle Mitspielenden wählen aus jeder Liste und gestalten so eine Szene in der ihre Figur im Spotlight stehen kann, so wie sie es sich wünschen. Diese wird mit einem Würfelwurf, nicht mehr, aufgelöst. The woman who could impede RFK Jr.’s anti-vaccine agenda
The public would be better-off with a serious person such as Susan Monarez at the CDC’s helm.
The Senate should confirm her, and fast.
Monarez, meanwhile, needs to recognize the burden she is accepting.
Being CDC director is not an easy job, even in less contentious times.
Having to report to Kennedy makes it incalculably harder.
Lives will depend on whether Monarez resists Kennedy’s efforts to …
