It's the #DayOfHelios / Sol's Day / #Sunday! ☀️
"Hastened by the golden-haired Horai Sol (the Sun) puts on his diadem of myriad rays [. . .] Then above the earth and above the horns of the eastern mount he shone forth, and drew a train of light over the sparkling waves."

Silver bowl with a sacrifice scene in relief: a youthful priest wearing a flowing sleeveless tunic and a mantle rolled around his waist and draped over his left arm, a laurel wreath in his full curly locks, cradling pomegranates and other fruit in the crook of his left arm, gripping a goat by its horn, leading it toward a flaming hexagonal altar, embellished with scrolling dots on the upper surface and base, a wreath around its center, the altar situated at the base of the steps of a Temple to …

A coworker was telling us he'd been "fowling" (rhymes with "bowling") this weekend. We, naturally, heard that to be "foaling" and were initially quite confused.
It seems to be a very highly regionalized combination of American football, bowling, and cornhole gaining popularity in and around Detroit.

I know everyone’s already dragging the living shit out of this already but 🤷🏻‍♀️:
All ICE/BP should have:
Clearly marked vehicles
Clearly marked names on uniforms (large TEXT for both)
ID/badges
Dismissal and/or prosecution for failing to comply.
QR codes are just unneeded “tech” complication
The current regime talks a lot of shit about ID being required to vote, but is fine with armed agents of the govt having less ID than a teen trying (and failing) to…

I am introducing the Quick Recognition (QR) Act, which requires ICE and CBP officers to wear uniforms featuring QR codes. When scanned, the code would generate a digital ID displaying the officer's name, badge number, and law enforcement agency.
ICE should be unmasked both physically and digitally.

Tributes to the ficus marked for felling at Steiner and Waller 💚

Thick tree trunk with an orange emergency tree removal notice from the city, and a red notice handwritten, “Thank you dear trees for your selfless shade and quiet intimacy.” A pink flower sticks out from a heart-shaped hole in the paper.
Row of tall ficus trees with thick green canopy above the sidewalk.
“All trees go to heaven.” Pink paper on trunk under tree removal notice
Handwritten love notes hung on twine tied loosely around tree trunk. “I will miss the way your branches welcome me home on bike rides, lining the streets”

I’m pretty sure that if someone is rude enough to wrap their body around ice bullets, they deserve to die.
I mean, can you imagine, you’re a bullet and suddenly this activist scum stops you from flying through the air without a care in the world, and you’re suddenly wrapped up in their tissue and bouncing off their skeleton trying to find your way back to the outside?
Where do these activists get off having bullet absorbing bodies in the first place, what do they expect?
